Lukins Logs is owned by Jeff and Kathy Lukins from Huntsville, AL.
Growing up, Jeff's dad was in the paper industry and they moved around a lot. People would often ask if they were military because of this, but Jeff always said they never moved from city to city, but rather from forest to forest. He enjoyed spending time with his dad in the garage learning many hobbies, but woodworking was the one that caught his eye. He has a natural talent for it and finds enjoyment creating beautiful, sturdy, and functional products.
Jeff and Kathy were married in 2022, and has been an incredible partner and pushed Jeff to realize his dreams. She encouraged him to invest in a sawmill, and began creating designs for him to bring to life. In the summer of 2024, Lukins Logs came to life and work has begun on transforming 30 slabs from a historic tree into live edge furniture. While that is in progress, live edge hospitality boards are available for sale, and we hope you will follow along as we create timeless pieces -- from forest, to furniture.
